James Hamilton is a comedian, writer, and actor.  He grew up in Denver, CO, began his comedy career in New Orleans, LA, and is now currently based in Brooklyn, NY. 

Most recently, James was a writer for NBC's Scene Showcase in Los Angeles and New York City.  He has performed around the country as a stand-up, including Brooklyn Comedy Festival and Hell Yes Fest. James was a writer and performer with the comedy group, Stupid Time Machine, which was featured on Funny or Die, Bustle, and Upworthy. They performed in many of the top comedy festivals in North America, including San Francisco Sketch Fest, Moontower Comedy and Oddity Festival, Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival, Chicago Sketch Fest, and Seattle Sketch Festival. 

James has worked extensively in storytelling. He is a writer and speaker for the photography and story project Dear World. He has been featured on WWNO's "All Things New Orleans" and performed at the Moth and New Orleans' BYO. He co-founded, produced, and hosted the popular live storytelling show and podcast, Shipwrecked! in NOLA. 

James graduated from the New Movement New Orleans' improv conservatory as a member of its founding class.  He became a member of TNM's faculty and taught improv and sketch to beginning and advanced comedians, as well as kids of all ages.  He also created and produced the cult-favorite improv show, Quiet on the Set.
